This post is my attempt to trace the root cause of all the problems that is there in INDIA.
For doing this, in my opinion ,there are two methods-
1.I put forward my view and try to defend it in rest of article. Or
2.I analyse all the problems and trace them to the root problem.I am taking the latter.I welcome you to counter rationally.

First the problems.Yes, we are lagging a little in quality of education. People at large don't really have affordable access to health care.Unclean surrounding;lack of civic sense;lack of quality domestic manufacturing sector;lack of skilled workforce for industries;lack of good quality research institutions;lack of funding for research  by pvt sector;lack of irrigation;farmer-scientist disconnect. The list is endless and many other problems-which  are less appealing to me - might be more appealing to you.
I assure you with the huge number of talented people in government, many stones are being turned the  solve these problems. In the coming years,we are hopeful of solving a few of them.

But just stop there and reflect a little. We have come a long way since independence.we are now talking about quality of research and their funding by pvt sector. We are not just talking of enrolment but also quality of education. We have come a long way and with the current efforts may be these problems will less severe in given time. But this is a point of view that asks me to be happy with underperformance.May be by 2030 there will be better education quality;may be.But why 2030? why not 2020?

The nation has come a long way but was this the best pace at which we could have progressed. Is the current growth the best or we are heavily underperforming. The  growth we have seen till now or are seeing now is either because of heavy expenditure of govt.-in fields of health, education, public sector industries,R&D; or despite government-in fields of education(pvt sector),service sector-. I allow you to disagree on my choice of examples. The point i am getting to is that
1. if it(the growth) happended because of government then it is lot less than what could have happened,as only a fraction of money spent by govt ever reached the people or desired end
2.Or if it happended despite the governement then the governement was too much intrusive and demanded too much of share of money-bribe.
So i m coming to the point that govt has been a major player in our nation and it has -unequivocally i dare to say- has been far less effective in supporting and far more obstructive in impeding the progress nation.the result being India has been underperforming.

there are many schemes being lauched these days but i fear the problems i highlighted in the last para will remain and we will continue to underperform.

but what is this problem other than stealing money from public funds where available and extracting money from pvt. pocket where unavailable.corruption.this money which would have supported growth is just not there for growth.

As long as this happens,we will progress .We will certainly progress.BUT AT A FAR LOWER PACE THAN WE CAN.
P S i m not against the governance,but i m for good governance.

(the root cause, you may be wondering(though i believe you might not have come this down reading),is not corruption.IT is just the root symptom.I will discuss the cause for this symptom in next blog to avoid making this one too long)
